Books Vol 5 [Mesa, Gilbert Professional Photography]

I mentioned in January that I've made a goal of trying to read 3 books a month: for my book group, for me, and for my business. It's turning out to be harder than I thought, but I'm hanging in there. Here's what I read for February.

The Many Lives & Secret Sorrows of Josephine B. by Sandra Gulland. This is the first book in a trilogy about the young Josephine Bonaparte. We meet Rose, (she was later renamed by Napoleon,) on her family's sugar plantation in Martinico, where an old island woman her she will one day be queen. This is the first book in a trilogy and I may just have to read the other two now! I found her to be absolutely fascinating!

The E-Myth Revisted by Michael E Gerber. Business books. I think they are going to be the death of me. I try. I really do. And this one gets such rave reveiews. I just don't think I'm meant to immerse myself in business books for pleasure. The one thing I did get out of it was how important it is to systemize everything in your business! Taking time to systemize now help ensure that your business does not own you and your life. Bottom line- do you find yourself typing the same email over and over? Create a template of that email and be done with it.

Jane & the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor by Stephanie Barron. Considered historical mystery. There's a new genre for you. For everyone that loves Jane Austen... this series is what happens if Jane had wrote mystery novels. I love her use of the word 'Unpleasantness' in the title and can Jane do any wrong? I think not.

Happy reading!
